VAL Trading is recruiting new Directors to help shape the future of its successful payroll service and support continued growth.
As the trading arm of Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL), VAL Trading delivers payroll services to hundreds of organisations across Leeds and West Yorkshire, including charities, community groups and small businesses. Income generated through the service is reinvested back into VAL, helping to support the charity’s wider work across the city.
The organisation is seeking individuals with skills and experience in areas such as business development, financial management, governance and payroll. Successful candidates will provide strategic oversight, support growth and help ensure the service continues to meet the needs of its clients.
The voluntary role involves attending four to six board meetings each year, alongside annual strategy sessions. Applications are particularly welcomed from people who reflect the diversity of Leeds and who are currently underrepresented on boards, including people from culturally diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ people and younger individuals.
