This Safeguarding Adults Level 3 training is designed for staff with a supervisory, leadership, or management role who are responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns and making appropriate referrals.
The course covers the safeguarding referral process, including how to assess concerns, make appropriate referrals, and keep the adult at the centre of decision-making. Learners will also understand who concerns should be reported to and the types of safeguarding responses that may follow.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Respond to safeguarding concerns confidently and make appropriate referrals
- Understand the principles and values that underpin adult safeguarding
- Recognise the signs and indicators of abuse and neglect
- Apply best practice when supporting and safeguarding adults at risk
- Understand the importance of consent, capacity, and person-centred safeguarding
- Follow safeguarding procedures in line with the Care Act
- Understand the referral process and the potential outcomes of a safeguarding alert
- Record and manage safeguarding concerns effectively
