This Safeguarding Adults Level 2 training course is designed for staff and volunteers who support adults at risk and have a responsibility to recognise, respond to, and report safeguarding concerns. It is ideal for those who do not hold a supervisory or management role but play an important part in protecting vulnerable adults.

The course explores the signs and indicators of abuse, how to respond to disclosures, and the correct procedures for reporting concerns in line with the Care Act and organisational safeguarding policies.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the values and principles that underpin adult safeguarding
  • Recognise the signs, symptoms, and indicators of abuse and neglect
  • Understand their role and responsibilities in safeguarding adults at risk
  • Follow best practice when providing safe and effective support
  • Respond appropriately to disclosures, concerns, and allegations
  • Understand safeguarding reporting procedures in line with the Care Act
  • Know what action may be taken following a safeguarding alert
  • Record safeguarding concerns accurately and effectively
  • Identify and respond to immediate safety and protection needs

This Safeguarding Adults Level 2 training course helps staff and volunteers develop the confidence and knowledge needed to identify concerns, protect adults at risk, and fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities.
