The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to assist the day-to-day running of GIPSIL. This role is central to ensuring meetings, leadership activity and internal systems are well organised and run smoothly.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teams across the organisation, managing diaries, coordinating meetings, supporting events and maintaining clear and consistent processes to ensure activities are delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

– Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, preparing papers and managing logistics

– Support senior leaders with diary management and meeting coordination

– Provide administrative support for training activity, including scheduling courses, producing certificates and responding to staff queries

– Support wider organisational activity, including staff events, away days and cross-team administrative tasks

– Maintain and update internal systems, documents and shared resources

– Support internal communications, including newsletters and staff updates

– Manage organisational processes such as inductions, inboxes, and follow-up actions

– Provide flexible administrative support across teams

What We’re Looking For

– Experience in carrying out administrative tasks

– Good organisational skills and attention to detail

– Confident communication skills and the ability to work with a range of people

– Ability to manage different tasks and priorities at any one time

– Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Teams

– A proactive and reliable approach, with the initiative to identify what needs doing and follow tasks through

– Comfortable working in a primarily office-based role (Monday to Friday)
