Feel Good Factor (FGF) is a health and wellbeing organisation based in the ethnically diverse area of Chapeltown in Leeds. We are looking for someone with a passion for reducing health inequalities and promoting diversity with the ability to build trusting relationships to fill the following vacancy:

WELLBEING COORDINATOR (LINKING LEEDS)

18.5 hours per week (35 hours per week FTE)
Salary £27,731 per annum pro rata (£14,658 actual)

Linking Leeds Service

Linking Leeds exists as a consortium of local partners with over 10 years collective experience delivering Social Prescribing for Leeds brilliant and diverse communities.

Linking Leeds aims to improve physical, mental and social health and wellbeing, through a holistic approach to improve quality of life and confidence in self-management and supporting independence.

We aim to provide high quality services adhering to principles of best practice, promoting equal opportunities and working positively with diversity. All posts have two main functions: to carry out the duties as outlined and be proactive in continuously improving service delivery.

The Role

As a member of the Linking Leeds team, you will make a real difference to the lives of others. You will be a keen advocate of the benefits of supporting people with health and social care needs to access support in their community by linking them to a network of groups and activities; enabling them to have improved health and wellbeing.

The post holder will support individuals to build independence and personal resilience, enabling self –management of their health and wellbeing. This will be achieved through the creation of Wellbeing Plans which will be tailored to individual need.

Feel Good Factor (FGF) is the host employer for this role, which will be embedded within the Linking Leeds Service.  The role is based over various sites including community venues, GP practices, and occasional work from home. The Linking Leeds office is The Reginald Centre, 263 Chapeltown Road, LS7 3EX and you will also have access to Feel Good Factor’s Offices in Louis Street, Chapeltown. The role requires someone who’s comfortable travelling and working across different locations.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a valuable role in the development of the city-wide, service delivering innovative approaches in a health care setting.
